This summer off with Cailin has been really fun so far. As anyone who knows Cailin can agree that she is a really easy going, happy girl. If she's got a Mama lap, she's good to go and has been even known to watch a little Oprah with me. Of course we usually just end up watching cartoons.

But this summer hasn't been all lounging around. We try to go to the pools as often as we can. At the beginning of the summer she was ecstatic to get into the pools but then for some reason she decided she didn't like them. We would get all packed up, lotioned from head to toe and drive out to one of our favorite pools here in The Woodlands. We get the rafts all blown up and everything ready for a fun day in the water and as soon as one toe hit that water, it was all cries and tears. She would quickly retreat back to our chairs and plop down for some good ol' fashion people watching. It would take quite an effort from us to finally get her in the water for any length of time but it didn't last. Finally in the last week or so, she has realized that pool time is actually fun and now has decided that she loves it again. Go figure.

On the days when it's just too hot for humans to be outside, which lately has been just about every single day, we go up to the mall for a little playtime. The Woodlands Mall has a great enclosed play area for kids with all kinds of things to climb on and under. It's kind of this enchanted forest theme. Even though there are a thousand kids there on any given day and it smells a little like feet, Cailin seems to have a blast and it's really cute watching her play.

These pictures are actually older pictures of the last time we took a trip to Burleson. Cailin's cousin Brayden was about a month old at this time. I'm pretty sure Cailin just thought that he was some kind of moving baby doll and was a little confused why she couldn't carry him around by his legs and throw him across the room like she does with her other baby dolls.

She was also pretty jealous of the binkie Brayden got to have. I think she was having flashbacks of the good ol days.

And Summer Begins!

A few weeks ago Cailin had her few playdate with her old crew in what seems like forever when Magnolia and Hudson came over to play. They competed over lap space with Jeremy to get their story read.
Jeremy really does have a way with kids doesn't he?

mmmm spaghetti!

She's too cool for school man!

Cailin also went to her first Astro's game this year. She really had a lot of fun going up and down the stairs and being a people watcher. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the Astro's bunny or whatever it's name is (sorry any Astro's fans out there)

She wanted to sit in her own seat like a big girl.

We have some fun things planned for this summer so hopefully we will add more pictures of all our adventures.
